These clips are from the 2018 horror/thriller move known as Bird Box  This scene is what I chose for symbolism because Tom(Trevante Rhodes) and Malorie(Sandra Bullock) were together and Tom asked to feel Malorie's stomach because she was pregnant at the time and when the camera zooms in on their hands together, there is a transition to Malorie and the kids on the boat years later and the camera was focused on the hands of the kids as they were on top of each other like Tom and Malorie.  This scene is for contrast because at first it shows Malorie years after the entity broke out and she had her baby already. She is seen in the boat as very stressed out while trying to contact someone then there is a transition to Malorie just a couple of years before. She is seen here trying to contact someone as well but in a calm manner. She was also pregnant before so that is also the contrast. Symbolism: I chose to take a picture of a playground and then film an actual playground. I think represented the symbolism shot just a little but I could have done something better such as filming the coffee in my kitchen then filming at Starbucks. Contrast: I filmed myself typing and writing notes in a quiet atmosphere in my room then me sleeping at a park with loud music. I think this is good for contrast because at first I was being productive in a quiet atmosphere and then I was asleep with loud music playing.  Parallelism: I filmed me and someone walking to each other and hugging. This is good for parallelism because we were both walking to each other. Leitmotif: So for this one I put the music from the movie Bad Boys. Hopefully people recognize the song on their  own. I think this okay but I could have chose the song from Indiana Jones since I was outside. Cowboys and Aliens

                                                I chose to watch the movie Cowboys and Aliens (2011) I chose to watch the 2011 film “Cowboys and Aliens” because this movie has a lot of action in it and I really like Sci-fi movies. There was not a lot of CGI in this movie, but it does have a lot of good shots and angles. In the beginning, the movie opened with a panning shot of a desert which gives the audience a feel for the location so that they get a heads up that the movie is going to be predominantly out in the open. This pan shot is mentioned in the article “Different camera angles create different emotions” and it states that “Pan shots slowly survey the scenery from one side to another…” A couple of minutes after, there is a point of view shot of the main character Jake Lonergan played by Daniel Craig as he is shooting at an alien.
