In the 2013 film “Agent Carter”, directed by Louis D’Esposito, it embraces many diverse camera angles and camera shots. In the first scene, Captain America appears in the shot while operating a plane. The first few seconds is a close up shot of him which then cuts to a close up of the character Peggy Carter. In this shot, there is an example of mise-en-scene as the setting is Peggy sitting alone in a dim room caused by lowkey lighting. The lowkey lighting is used to set a dramatic and emotional tone. The camera then cuts back to Captain America. He is seen putting a picture of Peggy on the dashboard of the plane while there is emotional non-diegetic sound playing. The use of this music impacts the scene as it makes the audience believe that in a couple of seconds, Captain America is going to die from a plane crash. After the scene with Peggy and Captain America, the camera fades to black and text is displayed on the screen that says, “One year later”. The use of this comment was ...
These clips are from the 2018 horror/thriller move known as Bird Box This scene is what I chose for symbolism because Tom(Trevante Rhodes) and Malorie(Sandra Bullock) were together and Tom asked to feel Malorie's stomach because she was pregnant at the time and when the camera zooms in on their hands together, there is a transition to Malorie and the kids on the boat years later and the camera was focused on the hands of the kids as they were on top of each other like Tom and Malorie. This scene is for contrast because at first it shows Malorie years after the entity broke out and she had her baby already. She is seen in the boat as very stressed out while trying to contact someone then there is a transition to Malorie just a couple of years before. She is seen here trying to contact someone as well but in a calm manner. She was also pregnant before so that is also the contrast. This is definiton of contrast because it shows different emotions, times, and locations of the s...
This is a long shot. I asked my mom to film this one and she was busy trying to give me acting lessons. It was easy to film. This is an eye level shot which was hard because i was using my pillow and not an actual person. This is a low angle i took at the park and i had to put my phone in some dirt. This is an extreme close up of my other stuffed animal and i was going to film myself but it was awkward. This is a close up of me grabbing my calculator. It was fast and easy. This is a point of view shot of me grabbing some rice which I did not use. This was a short video. This is a pan shot i took at the park and i just realized I was filming so slow. This is a tilt shot of a tree but they're usually of tall buildings but i was at the park. This is a long establishing shot of the pier. I wanted to film the playground but it started raining. This is a cameo shot of my bear. Pretty easy but I was kneeling so it kind of hurt.
