Cowboys and Aliens

I chose to watch the movie Cowboys and Aliens (2011) I chose to watch the 2011 film “Cowboys and Aliens” because this movie has a lot of action in it and I really like Sci-fi movies. There was not a lot of CGI in this movie, but it does have a lot of good shots and angles. In the beginning, the movie opened with a panning shot of a desert which gives the audience a feel for the location so that they get a heads up that the movie is going to be predominantly out in the open. This pan shot is mentioned in the article “Different camera angles create different emotions” and it states that “Pan shots slowly survey the scenery from one side to another…” A couple of minutes after, there is a point of view shot of the main character Jake Lonergan played by Daniel Craig as he is shooting at an alien.  I commented on Kevmely's and Chloe's blog  Kevmely Close up: This was a nice shot and it could be used in a movie scene. The emotion i got was stressful because since we are doing online school, laptops and typing just remind me of school now.  Extreme close up: Her extreme close up was really cute because of her sister's reaction. I think the emotion from this video is happiness, cheerful, and carefree.  Reaction shot: Her reaction shot was funny and well done. Her sisters reaction gives off an emotion of confusion but it's funny. Chloe Tilt shot: There's something about the color of the building and how tall it is that gives off a calm feeling to me. This was a very good shot. I like the color of the building too if I didn't make that obvious in the first sentence.  Choker shot: Her choker shot was nice and i felt as if the shot gave a sense of emptiness or just hollow since it was a teddy bear and there is no expression.  Cameo: Her cameo was a good sho...

This is a long shot. I asked my mom to film this one and she was busy trying to give me acting lessons. It was easy to film. This is an eye level shot which was hard because i was using my pillow and not an actual person.  This is a low angle i took at the park and i had to put my phone in some dirt. This is an extreme close up of my other stuffed animal and i was going to film myself but it was awkward. This is a close up of me grabbing my calculator. It was fast and easy. This is a point of view shot of me grabbing some rice which I did not use. This was a short video. This is a pan shot i took at the park and i just realized I was filming so slow. This is a tilt shot of a tree but they're usually of tall buildings but i was at the park. This is a long establishing shot of the pier. I wanted to film the playground but it started raining.   This is a cameo shot of my bear. Pretty easy but I was kneeling so it kind of hurt.

Aice media

I chose this class because I think it will be cool to study about social media. I also want to get an understanding of how it affects everyday lives.
